Learn English with Customized One-to-One Tutoring
Literacy DuPage offers free, customized, one-to-one tutoring for adult learners, over age 21, who speak English at a beginning level or read below the ninth grade level.
Tutoring is held in a library or other public location.
Regular attendance is required
You will meet with your tutor weekly for at least six months.
You will meet with your tutor for a minimum of two hours per week.
Please text or call your tutor a minimum of one hour before your scheduled session if you will be late or need to cancel.
It is important to practice your English as much as possible so that you can improve your skills.
In order for us to provide free tutoring services, we are required to test students to measure progress and eligibility.
Expected Outcomes
Improve reading, writing, or English language proficiency.
Increased ability to participate in the community.
