Celebrate and support neighbors’ changing lives.

Here’s what we have going on right now:

Volunteer with us at the Last Fling

Volunteer with Literacy DuPage at the Naperville Jaycees’ Last Fling! This fun, annual, end-of-summer celebration is a perfect volunteer event for the entire family. It’s a four-day festival featuring live music, a carnival, Family Fun Land, and the Labor Day Parade. The Last Fling is the Jaycees’ largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting local charitable organizations who volunteer at the event, like Literacy DuPage. Contact Cassandra Shepherd at cshepherd@literacydupage.org for volunteer opportunities.

Celebrate Achievement at our Annual Recognition Luncheon

This extraordinary and heart-filled luncheon is our yearly celebration of the hard work, dedication, and progress our learners have made, working to achieve their language goals side-by-side with their volunteer tutors. This year our luncheon will be held Sunday, October 13 at the College of DuPage. For more information contact Aline Thurler at athurler@literacydupage.org

And here are some other events we’re looking forward to:

Enjoy Food, Wine, and Entertainment at Reading Between the Wines

Be a part of Literacy DuPage’s largest fundraising event of the year! Reading Between the Wines is our annual fundraiser, where we celebrate and generate support for the vital work we do in DuPage County. Listen to learner stories, enjoy delicious food and wine, engage in good conversation, and support a cause you love, Literacy DuPage. This event typically happens in the spring, so check back here for registration details.

Laps for Literacy

Runners & Walkers: Join our Laps for Literacy Team

Move with us! Each spring, Literacy DuPage recruits a team of runners and walkers to participate in the DuPage Human Race, hosted by Giving DuPage. We are proud to be a long-time contributor to this powerful event. We call our team Laps for Literacy. Watch this space for the next opportunity to run/walk with us, while raising funds and awareness for literacy.

Volunteer with us at Ribfest!

Thank you to our wonderful 2019 volunteers! We had a great time volunteering.

Every year, Literacy DuPage gathers a team of volunteers to help with one of DuPage County’s most popular summer events: Naperville’s Ribfest, hosted by the Exchange Club of Naperville. We do this because it’s fun, and because the Exchange Club does so much good in our community. In fact, they often reward our participation at Ribfest with a generous donation to Literacy DuPage. So, the more involved our team can be, the more visibility and support we can gain for Literacy DuPage.

Check back here in May 2020 for volunteer opportunities and details.
