Since 1972, Literacy DuPage has been helping adults improve their English skills so they can find jobs, support and advocate for their families, and become active members of the community. We connect English language learners with volunteer tutors who give them practical skills to navigate their world.
In short:
We train tutors. Tutors change lives.
We developed our tutor orientation and training program to fully prepare tutors to craft customized lesson plans that meet learners where they are and help them achieve their goals and dreams. These goals may be reading English storybooks to their children, speaking with teachers or doctors, finding a job, or getting a degree to launch their careers.
No matter the goal, tutors guide learners along the way, step by step, celebrating every win.
